This is the reason that song "Turn Around" (see previous post) has been running through my head for the past two days . . . another challenge from
Paper Whimsy! The butterfly wings are made from a phone book page painted in pink sparkle paint by my niece Grace.
This is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteDiane, this is gorgeous! I so admire the handcrafters of this world. I'm afraid that apart from some drawing and painting my work is mostly digital. In my case this is probably a very good thing because I am messy and have a reputation of being dangerous in charge of glue, paints and scissors. I have the reputation of being the worst gift wrapper-upper of all time and I think I am the family joke!!
ReplyDeleteI love the textures in your work and the colours are just beautiful.
Very, very nice! I just love the butterfly wings. What a great idea to use the phone book pages. thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteOh wow this is gorgeous and I admire and am amazed at your resourcefulness. I would never think to use the phone book page. You are so clever.
ReplyDeleteVery beautiful pages - lovely colors and uplifting!

ReplyDeleteWish I could run my fingers over this piece...the phone book pages is a great idea...so nice that you go to share your art with your niece...
ReplyDeleteDiane, I agree with Chrisy's remark about wanting to run her fingers over your pages. I hope everyone enlarges it because there is so much beautiful detail and texture to die for! The butterflies are truly scrumptious. This is a stunning piece of art. Standing ovation from me!
ReplyDeleteI just noticed I was logged in as a Muse when I left my comment (above). This is just to let you know a Muse by any other name could be a Bev!
ReplyDeleteLOL, Bev! I did wonder . . .
