Happy 4th

The challenge at Saturday Surprise is "abstract" - no people, no words. I did use an object, a flag, and I used one of my own pictures of roses as a background with a glass mosaic filter on them. A couple of overlays - one from Scrapping with Liz and the other from an unknown source. I added the flag in a hard light blend mode at 60% opacity.

Buh-bye

This one is for The Three Muses - lots of "airy" challenges this week - almost used the one below for both but Up, Up and Away made me think of balloons and with this one I could make the kids smiling. Credits: cat and frog by Elaine Turola, ground and tree by Noshay, house by KAargard, children by kawouette. Cat, dog and balloon is a stamp I've had forever that I digitally colored.

I'm taking your garden away, away .. .

This was done for the Gothic Arches challenge of Wings...and of course you have to use an arch in there somewhere. I was feeling goofy, I guess. Credits: cat and frog by Elaine Turola, ground and tree by Noshay, house by KAargard, children by kawouette - no idea where the flying witch came from.

Hidden in Plain Sight

The Artarazzi challenge this week was to alter a painting by
Faye. The faces were altered using PSP's enamel filter, the original painting was rotated and masked.

Message in a Bottle

This is another quote challenge from
Paper Whimsy. I really liked this poem.

WHEN MOONLIGHT FALLS
—Hilda Conkling
When moonlight falls on the water
It is like fingers touching the chords of a harp
On a misty day.
When moonlight strikes the water
I cannot get it into my poem:
I only hear the tinkle of ripplings of light.
When I see the water's fingers and the moon's rays
Intertwined,
I think of all the words I love to hear,
And try to find words white enough
For such shining...

The rules:
- Use something that evokes moonlight (I used silver embossing powder around the moon, but it doesn't show up well).
- Include something that suggests music (my violin playing angel)
- Include a pocket, into which tuck words you personally love to hear (my pocket is the waves and the words: dreams, secrets, mysteries, ethereal, whispers, effervescent, and magical are in the bottles)>
- Include two other PW images (the words are from a collage sheet I purchased and the fish - signifying water - is from a previous challenge collage sheet).

Deserting Me?

The theme at Three Muses this week is doors. My door is from Paper Whimsy, recolored and cropped. Alice is from a collage sheet from Alpha Stamps.
